808 – Novel
Writing 808 has been a long journey, spanning 10 years when I first began in August 2014. Getting the story exactly how I want it has been a mammoth task, and this is the only time I’ve ever been introduced to “writers block”, because you can really write yourself into a hole, which is hard to get out of due to the amount of work required to backtrack. I am, however, absolutely determined to finish this because I’ve always wanted to write my own story, and I think the one I have is pretty compelling.
I’m around halfway through writing 808, but the worst part is behind me, figuring out where the story needs to go to complete it which thankfully I finally overcame around early 2024. Once it’s nearer to completion I’ll be sharing what the story is about, the characters and the world I’m building 🙂 watch this space!
Gravitact – Board Game
In 2021 during Covid, me and my friend Tao began coming up with ideas for board games. We started brainstorming some ideas we liked, and eventually settled on an Aliens vs Humans game.
The objective of the game is simple: Aliens are trying to destroy the Earth, and the Humans are trying to prevent it. The game has been through 3 major versions since 2021 and it’s something we keep coming back to. In 2023 I spent a lot of time refining the artwork, eventually finishing off the design aspect.
The game is mostly ready, it just needs a ton more playtesting. I even made a custom game on Tabletop Simulator which is primarily how we playtest. The plan is to get a physical version made, but if you’re not doing this in bulk it really costs a lot of money sadly. If everything went well we’d love to sell it, but that’s probably just a pipedream.

Untitled – Game Boy Color Game
I have wanted to design and build my own game for as long as I can remember, but I don’t have the brain capacity to learn a programming language like C#, C++ etc. I have thankfully found something which may finally aid me in my quest, GB Studio. I’ve struggled even with basic game creators like Scratch, they’re just not intuitive enough for me to pick up and run with, however GB Studio seems like the best bet yet.
Someday!
